2003.71.35 - Norman Stoudt, EM1c
Black and white photograph of Norman Stoudt, EM1c standing next to a life raft while holding on to the life line. Handwritten in blue, "44 Norman Stoudt San Bernadino California." The BROUGH was not in California in 1944. According to the Muster Rolls for the BROUGH, Stoudt enlisted in Los Angeles, CA on 3 June 1943. San Bernadino is a short distance away and this note must refer to his home town.

Black and white photograph of an aircraft carrier moored at Norfolk, VA. The handwritten caption at the bottom lists it as USS BREMINGTON. The BREMINGTON was a cruiser during the war. On the reverse it reads: "Air craft carrier U.S.S. Bennington." The exact date is unknown but the BENNINGTON was in Norfolk, VA in September 1944. The BROUGH was on the tail end of a convoy to Liverpool, England at the time.
