    Double-sided paper ID card for Perry F. Pascotti, EM3c. His service photograph, in black and white, is at the top left. Other information includes: hair and eye color, weight, birth date, Void after date/reason, and signature of the validating officer, Lt. R.F. Hellrung, USNR.On the reverse are two of his fingerprints and an unknown nine digit number. The ID was once in a plastic sleeve that was removed at some point.

    One Yen occupation currency from Okinawa. This "B" type currency was used by occupation forces until civilian use began in April 1946 to September 1958. It's unclear how this was acquired as the BROUGH never made it to Okinawa.

  11. 2003.71.21 - Christmas card

    Black and white photograph on hardstock showing the superstructure of the BROUGH from the foc'sle. The front of the paper it was mounted to reads: "Mongrul dog Wren brough aboard by Norman Stout 1944 // Part of a Xmas card from the BROUGH DE-148 Notice ship mascot (dog) Wren, taken aboard on 1st trip to Londonderry." The reverse of the photograph has diagonal writing that has been cut off from when the photograph was removed from the card.

In April 1945, Pascotti reported aboard the minesweeper USS SPRIG (DMS-384) after first spending his service aboard the BROUGH.     Low quality black and white photograph of an unknown ship at Casablanca. The bottom caption reads: "ship in half at Casablanca." A similar handwritten caption on the reverse reads: "look good this ship is blown in half in Casablanca N. Africa." The identity of the damaged ship is unknown. BROUGH was in the Mediterranean with convoys GUS-24, GUS-30, and UGS-31.
