Description |
The CHESTER T. O'BRIEN as seen on 21 June 1952 at Newport Rhode Island. A year prior she had been recommissioned and remained in service until 1959. She was sold for scrapping on 4 April 1974. Handwritten inscription in ink on original negative envelope reads: "Chester T. O'BRIEN DE 421 // 6/21/52 // at pier // Newport, R.I." Ink stamp on envelope reads: "TED STONE // PHOTOGRAPHY." |
